What is required?
The requirements to join the SCA are few... you must be willing to attempt to dress in Pre-1600's European medieval dress, and of course you should be interested in learning some or even all (though that would take a lifetime!) of the crafts and skills the participants have to offer, and perhaps even teaching at some point.
Membership is not required to attend events, but everyone who enjoys the SCA is encouraged to become a member as the fees are inexpensive and go to support bigger events. If you choose to become a member, you will pay a a yearly membership fee that varies from $20 for a sustaining member to a $45 maximum for a family.
