Monthly Business Meeting, 10-13-2009
 
  1. Called to order at 6:30 pm (1830).
  2. Persons in attendance: 5member/ 5 non-member.
C.     MEETING LOCATION AND DAY
                                                               i.      2nd TUESDAY of the Month.
                                                             ii.      The next business meeting will be TUESDAY, November 9st.
                                                            iii.      Little Filly’s in Palo Cedro (22047 Palo Way)
                                                           iv.      6:30 PM
                                                             v.      4th Thursday of the month will be Arts & Sciences. Heavy Combat, Rapier and Archery are kind of on hold thru the winter.
  1. I will be contacting the Ancerson Chamber of Commerce in regards to having a booth at a couple of the City functions. More to follow.
  2. Another October A&S will be held at the pavilion in Anderson River Park, Thursday October 22nd at 6:30 pm. Lady Kestral will again attempt to transform us from left-footed, stumbling brutes into light footed visions of courtly grace (Dance Instructions.)
  3. Jennifer of the Lake has volunteered to provide decorations for the high table.
  4. Feast: The Feastocrat, Lady Dierdre, is looking for totes (for washing dishes,) Ice chests and barbecue tools.
  5. Fall Feast– October 24th, 2009 – “Stone Soup Feast” celebrating the local harvest.
    1. Location: Pavilion at Anderson River Park.
                                                               i.      Site will open at 1:00 pm, Close at 10:00 pm, we must be out at 11:00 pm. 
                                                             ii.      There will be shire members on site earlier to facilitate site prep.
                                                            iii.      The Meal will be served at about 5:00 pm.
    1. Theme: Masqued Ball. There will be a prize for the best Masque (a LOVELY decorative bottle filled with a mystery liquid, rumoured to be Chocolate Port!)
    2. Auction. The populace is again encouraged to craft things for the auction. (These have been doing well.)
    3. Tickets:
                                                               i.      Pre-sale encouraged.
                                                             ii.      Adults (13 +) $10
                                                            iii.      Children (12-) $5
                                                           iv.      Family Cap $35 (for this event family is defined as one or two adults with dependent minors)
                                                             v.      Off-board tickets discussed – no price set.

1.      Ruquiyah has volunteered to run this. She will appreciate more volunteers, I am sure.

                                                           vi.      Dancing (this would be the ‘ball’ portion of the Masqued Ball)

    2. Craft Table – bring finished or in-progress projects for display.
    3. Auction Table – Remember to put your reserve (if any) on your auction item’s 3x5 card
    4. The populace are encouraged to bring extra tables and chairs for the feast.
  1. The shire will welcome any ideas about fundraising.
