Called to order at 6:30 pm (1830).Persons in attendance: 7 member/6 non-member.
Exchequer reports $406.33 in the shire account.
From the Autocrat: Cathal is seeking Sheets/Hangings to create the walls for the feast.
From the Feast-o-crat: If you pledged a donation to the Feast, it is time to get those donations to Diedre. Diedre is seeking volunteers for dishwashing/rinsing for the feastNeeds bins/totes for water basins. Ice chests. Hot plates
The August A&S will be held at Diedre's home. She will be teaching us to make Chocolate Raspberry Port (mmmmmmmmm!). There is a $5 donation to take a bottle home with you (also you must be 21 years of age!). We will also be bottling wine and banner painting.
Shasta College is offering a wine making course.
I have placed the draft Shire charter in the Yahoo group files section for everyone to read and discuss.

Fall Feast October 24th, 2009 Stone Soup Feast celebrating the local harvest.
Location: Pavilion at Anderson River Park.
Site will open at 1:00 pm, Close at 10:00 pm, we must be out at 11:00 pm. There will be shire members on site earlier to facilitate site
prep.
The Meal will be served at about 5:00 pm.
Theme: Masqued Ball.
There will be a prize for the best Masque (a LOVELY decorative bottle filled with a mystery liquid, rumoured to be Chocolate Port!)
Auction. The populace is again encouraged to craft things for the
auction. (These have been doing well.)
Tickets: Pre-sale encouraged.
Adults (13 +) $10
Children (12-) $5
Family Cap $35 (for this event family is defined as one or two
adults with dependent minors)
Off-board tickets discussed: no price set.

2nd Thursday of the Month now with archery/rapier practice held concurrently.

4th Thursday of the month will be archery/heavy
fighter practice and Arts & Sciences.

The next business meeting will be Tuesday, September 8st.

The shire will welcome any ideas about fundraising.
